One of our all-time favorite places to visit is Disney. We aren’t picky – we’ll go to Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California.
I lived in California as a little girl so going to Disneyland is one of my most treasured childhood memories. When I grew up and started a family of my own, my husband and I wanted to be sure and introduce the magic of Disney to our two daughters. I’d say we succeeded at that since we’ve been more times than I can count. Even as adults, Emily and Laura still travel there on their own.
In fact, when my oldest daughter, Emily, recently had a few days off she asked if I wanted to go to Disney World with her. How could I resist that offer?? It also helped that we both had free airline tickets!
So – last month we found ourselves in Orlando. And as a bonus, my husband, Scott, decided to join us.
Since this was a short visit, we decided to park hop and visit the highlights of all the parks in one day. Crazy idea but fun!
We were thrilled to learn that the Flower & Garden Festival was in full bloom at Epcot. I can’t even describe how awesome this event is. The talents of Disney’s master gardeners defy the imagination (at least mine).
Unfortunately, our pictures aren’t great but hopefully you can get an idea of the amazing botanical sculptures. This is just a fraction of all that the park had to offer. There were topiaries from just about every Disney picture ever made. Incredible!
Of course, no trip to Disney is complete without checking out their culinary delights. We walked into one of their candy stores and found some adorable candy apples dressed up as some popular Disney characters.
