Because Dawn had the great privilege of working with my mom – Mama Bear – for many years, she has wonderful memories and many lessons learned. I asked her to share this recipe with all of you.

This is another recipe that I will cherish from Mama Bear.

On the many days of catering or baking, Barb (Mama Bear) would ALWAYS make sure we had our breaks. And not just a time out to rest. We always had a sit-down, family-style meal or snack. We would take the opportunity to regroup and talk about our game plan for the day’s tasks. We had a lot of laughs and it would get us through the rest of our day. One day she she made something she called, “hodge podge dip”.  As she placed it on the table, we all looked skeptical. It ended up being one of our favorite comfort foods. I often enjoy it to this day and the only thing that would make it better is if she was here to share it with me. Miss you Barb!
